Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube:

Preferred: Gold-top serum gel tube(s)

Acceptable: Plain, red-top tube(s), EDTA lavender-top plasma, lithium heparin (PST) mint-top plasma.  Note: Plasma samples cannot be reflexed to Western blot testing.

Specimen Volume: 155 uL

Stability: Stable 8 hours at room temperature or 7 days of sample collection when stored at 2-8°C; otherwise they should be dispensed in aliquots and stored deep-frozen (–20° C or below).
