Specimen Requirements


Preferred: Gold-top serum gel tube(s)

Acceptable: Plain, red-top tube(s)

Specimen Volume: 155 uL serum

Stabillity: If the assay is performed within seven days of sample collection, the samples may be kept at

2-8° C; otherwise they should be dispensed in aliquots and stored deep-frozen (–20° C or below).

Note: Any positive or equivocal result will be forwarded to Mayo Medical Laboratories for Western blot testing.
