Note: #CBC Complete Blood Count (CBCS), Blood should also be ordered for pathology review.

Specimen: 1 mL (minimum) of EDTA whole blood

Useful For

Abnormalities meeting established criteria are to be reviewed by a Pathologist. These include erythrocyte, platelet and leukocyte abnormalities.  Additionally, smears may be ordered for Pathology review by a patient's physician regardless of review criteria.
