Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube:
Preferred: Mint Green-top (heparinized) tube with separator, plasma
Acceptable: Gold-top serum gel tube, Plain Red-top tube, Green-top (heparinized) tube
Minimum Specimen Volume: 12uL plus dead space of serum or plasma
Stability: Do not use samples that have been stored at room temperature for longer than 8 hours. Store specimens at 2-8ºC for 48 hours or for longer storage, place in freezer at ≤20ºC.
Collection Instructions: Allow samples to clot adequately before centrifugation. Samples should be free of fibrin or other particulate matter before placing samples on the system. Avoid hemolyzing specimen during collection.
