Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube Preferred: 1 mL serum Gold-top gel tube or plain, red-top tube

Hemolyzed or lipemic specimen is not acceptable.
Acceptable: 1 mL of plasma Lavender-top EDTA or Green-top Sodium Heparin

Transport Temperature: Refrigerate ≤7 days

Collection Instructions: If there is a delay in transport of >7 days, send specimen frozen in plastic vial.

Negative <0.7

Equivocal 0.7 - 1.0

Positive 1.1 - ≥32.0
