Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube:

Preferred: Gold-top serum gel tube or plain, red-top tube

Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL of serum, allow specimens to completely clot before centrifugation.  Separate serum from cells.

Stability: After centrifuging, immediately refrigerate (2 to 8 °C) for 10 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
