heparin tube (PST tube with separator is preferred
but lithium heparin green top tube without separator is also
acceptable)
Specimen: 0.5 mL of lithium heparin plasma
Collection Instructions:
Note: Label specimen appropriately (plasma).
Reference Values
Therapeutic range: 2-5 mcg/mL
Potentially toxic: >5 mcg/mL
