Preferred Container/Tube:  Green top (Lithium Heparin)

Acceptable:  Gold top-SST, or Red Top

Specimen Volume:  0.3 mL 

Stability and Storage:

  • Room temperature:  5 days
  • Refrigeration (2°- 8°C): 7 days
  • Frozen (≤ -20°C): 12 months.  Freeze samples only once and mix thoroughly after thawing.

Transport:  Refrigerated
