Specimen Requirements

Preferred: fresh urine within a pH range of 5-8

Specimen volume: A minimum volume of 6 µL plus a dead volume is required for testing.

Stability: No additives or preservatives are required. It is recommended that urine specimens be stored at 2-8 °C and tested within 5 days of collection. Centrifuge highly turbid specimens before testing. Adulteration or dilution of the sample can cause erroneous results
