Specimen Requirements
Preferred: fresh urine within a pH range of 5-8
Specimen volume: A minimum volume of 6 µL plus a dead volume is required for testing.
Stability: No additives or preservatives are required. It is recommended that urine specimens be stored at 2-8 °C and tested within 5 days of collection. Centrifuge highly turbid specimens before testing. Adulteration or dilution of the sample can cause erroneous results

Oxycodone is a semi‑synthetic opioid prescribed for pain management in patients with moderate to severe pain. It is similar to codeine and morphine in its analgesic properties but it is more potent than morphine and has higher dependence potential.
