Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube:
Preferred: 24-houre timed urine collection. No preservative.
Specimen Volume: 10 mL from a 24-hour timed urine collection.
Stability: Refrigerate specimen during collection, and send specimen refrigerated.
Specimens may be stored at 2 to 8 °C for up to 7 days and frozen for up to 1 month.
Collection Instructions: Must obtain 24 hour urine jug from lab to start collection.
Note: Starting and ending times of collection are required for processing.
