Specimen Requirements

Submit worm in 5-10 mL of 70-80% ethanol in a clean container with tight fitting lid.

Transport at room temperature.

 

Unacceptable specimens: Stool. Unpreserved specimens. Specimens in preservative other than ethanol.

Reference Values

Negative: Submitted specimen not a worm/parasite.
