Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube:

Preferred: Green-top (lithium heparin) tube

Acceptable: Gold-top serum gel tube, plain red-top tube, EDTA plasma

Minimum pecimen Volume: 1.3 µL plus dead volume

Stability: Specimens may be stored at 2 – 8°C for 3 weeks. For longer storage, samples

                may be frozen at -20°C for up to 1 year or if they are frozen within 24 hours

                after collection.

Inflammatory:  <5 mg/L
